Adjustable potentiometer use specification
The adjustable potentiometer is actually a variable resistor. Because its function in the circuit is to obtain an output voltage that is related to the input voltage (applied voltage), we summarize the following 6 points when operating the adjustable potentiometer. Standards, everyone should pay attention to avoid when using them.
1. The appearance of the adjustable potentiometer should prevent condensation or the presence of water droplets, and prevent it from being used in a humid place to prevent insulation deterioration or short circuit formation.
2. The shaft or sliding handle of the adjustable potentiometer should be as short as possible when designing it. The shorter the length of the shaft or sliding handle, the better and stable the hand feel. On the contrary, the longer the shaking, the greater the shaking, and the feel is easy to change.
3. In the process of putting on the knob of the adjustable potentiometer, the pushing force used should not be too large (not exceeding the parameter target of the pushing and pulling force of the shaft in the "Specification Book"), otherwise it will be able to cause damage to the volume tuner.
4. The reversal operating force (rotating or sliding) of the adjustable potentiometer will become lighter as the temperature rises, and tighten as the temperature drops. If the adjustable potentiometer is used in a low temperature environment, it needs to be clarified so that special low temperature resistant grease can be selected.
5. Adjustable potentiometer is best used in voltage adjustment layout, and the wiring method should choose "1" pin grounding; current adjustment layout should be prevented, because the touch resistance between the resistor and the touch pad is not conducive to the passage of large currents.
6. When the device "rotary type" potentiometer is fixed to the nut, the strength of the volume tuner should not be too tight (usually the maximum tightening torque should be 7KGF.CM) to prevent damage to the screw thread or poor transformation; the device "iron shell straight When using a "sliding" potentiometer, prevent the use of too long screws, otherwise it will hinder the movement of the sliding handle, and even directly damage the potentiometer itself
