Angle sensor and selection of bearings
Angle sensor and selection of bearings
When the angle sensor measures the angle change of the object, it is generally connected through a rotating shaft, so that the change of the measured object is converted into the angle change of the rotating shaft of the angle sensor. Because it takes a long time to rotate, there are some particularities when selecting the bearings of the angle sensor. Generally, the angle sensor bearings used in small instruments and meters are all selected micro-small bearings, which are small in size and flexible in rotation, but have relatively poor impact resistance. Angle sensors used in large machinery, cranes, engineering vehicles and other environments require seismic and shock resistance, as well as dust and water resistance. Therefore, a slightly larger stainless steel bearing is used, although the rotation damping of this kind of bearing is slightly larger , But it can make the angle sensor have good anti-vibration and impact protection performance. For angle sensors used in special environments such as underwater, infiltration, and corrosive gases, ceramic bearings and waterproof bearings with better protection performance should be selected. Ceramic bearings have good waterproof, oil-proof and anti-corrosion properties, but the cost is relatively high, so the price of waterproof angle sensors is correspondingly high.
