Cautions for the use of rotary encoders in electrical appliances and the environment

Precautions for the use of rotary encoder electrical appliances

1. After the wiring is completed, please check carefully before turning on whether the wiring is correct. Remember: the wrong input voltage will damage your encoder.

2. The input voltage here refers to the internal DC input voltage of the encoder, not the original voltage outside. Note that it should not be used near the switchboard.

3. Please do not wind the output line of the encoder with the power line, etc. or transmit it in the same pipeline. Otherwise, the entangled thread will cause wrong actions.

4. Use shielded cables as much as possible, especially signal wires.

5. For long-distance transmission, signal attenuation factors should be considered, and an output method with low output impedance and strong anti-interference ability should be selected.

Precautions for the use of rotary encoder environment

1. Percussion and vibration

Because the encoder is a precision instrument, when you install it, don't knock it so as not to affect its function. At the same time, when you use it, pay attention to whether there is a seismic source around.

2. The dripping problem

Encoders that are not leak-proof structures should not be splashed with water, oil, etc., and a protective cover should be added if necessary.
