An encoder is a sensor device that can be used to calculate distance, displacement, angle, and speed. The encoder can compile and convert signals or data into equipment that can be used for communication, transmission and storage. However, the encoder is a precision electronic component, and it is more severely affected by surrounding interference, such as whether there are large-scale motors, frequent starting of electric welding machines, and whether it is transmitted in the same pipeline as the power line. Will affect it.

Usually, what kind of output we choose to fight against interference is also particularly important. It is recommended that the general output has a reverse signal. This kind of anti-interference is better, namely A+~A-, B+~B-, Z+~Z-, which is characterized by adding Power 8 wires instead of 5 wires (total zero). The transmission of this kind of encoder with reverse signal in the cable is symmetrical, and the interference is small. It can also be judged in the receiving device (for example: the signal of the receiving device uses the 90° phase difference of the A and B signals When reading the four states of level 10, 11, 01, 00, it is counted as an effective pulse, so this scheme can effectively improve the system's anti-interference performance (accurate counting)).

Of course, there are good and bad encoders in the market. The difference is that the signal output of the internal circuit of the code disc electronic chip is very different.

So, how to judge that the encoder is damaged? Below we use the elimination method to judge the encoder failure and judge whether the encoder is damaged?

1. Eliminate (move away, close, isolate) sources of interference;

2. Determine whether it is the cumulative error of the mechanical gap;

3. To determine whether the circuit interface of the control system and the encoder do not match, and the simple way to determine whether it is the fault of the encoder itself is the elimination method.
