How to set motor parameters for SINAMICS V20
SINAMICS V20 is a basic inverter introduced by Siemens. There are five sizes from FSA to FSE (FS stands for Frame Size). Inverters of different sizes have different powers. The power range of the V20 series is very wide, from 0.12KW to 30KW, there are related products.
Before using the inverter, there are many parameter settings, one of which is to set the parameters of the motor driven by the inverter. Today in this article, we will talk about how to set the motor parameters for SINAMICS V20.

You can see a basic operation panel (BOP-Basic OperationPanel) above the inverter. The basic operation panel is composed of LCD display, LED indicator and buttons, which can realize the start, stop and fast debugging of the inverter.

The LCD display of the basic operation panel can display information such as faults, warnings, operation, and inverter menus.
The menu of SINAMICS V20 includes display menu, setting menu and parameter menu.
The display menu can display important parameters such as frequency, voltage, current, etc., and can realize basic monitoring of the inverter;
The setup menu is used to quickly debug the parameters of the inverter, including four sub-menus: motor data, connection macro selection, application macro selection and common parameter selection;
The parameter menu can access and set all the parameters of the inverter;
The inverter can only run under the display menu;
In the display menu, short press the function key [M] to enter the parameter menu;
In the parameter menu, long press the function key [M] to return to the display menu;
In the display menu, long press the function key [M] to enter the setting menu;
In the setting menu, long press the function key [M] to return to the display menu;
Parameter setting method:
In the display menu, short press the function key [M] to enter the parameter menu;
Press the up and down navigation keys to select the parameter number to be edited;
If there is a big difference between the modified parameter number and the current parameter number, you can use the bit editing method to quickly locate the parameter number (the bit editing method will be introduced later);
Short press【OK】key to enter the parameter value modification interface;
Press the up and down navigation keys or use the bit editing method to modify the parameter value;
Short press【OK】key to save the set value and return to the parameter menu; if you don’t want to save, you can short
Press【M】key to return to the parameter menu;
In the parameter menu, long press【M】key to return to the display menu;
The following operation example is to set the value of parameter P0010 to 30, so that the inverter can restore the factory default settings:

Bit editing is suitable for large changes to the parameter number, parameter index or parameter value. As the name suggests
Right, bit editing can directly edit each bit. The specific method is as follows:
In edit or display mode, long press【OK】key to enter bit edit mode;
Bit editing starts from the rightmost bit of the parameter, and each time you press the [OK] key, it will move one bit to the left;
When in the current position, you can set the value of the position through the up and down navigation keys;
When the cursor is on the leftmost side, short press【OK】key to save the current value;
Short press【M】key once to position the cursor to the rightmost of the current edit item

Short press【M】key twice in succession to exit the bit editing mode without saving the current
value;
The parameter information of the motor comes from its nameplate data,

If the rated voltage of 400V is used, the motor windings must be connected to form a delta (Delta);
