What is the 4G encoder for?

The 4G encoder is a professional outdoor live streaming device. The 4G live encoder uses a 4G network and is usually used for outdoor live broadcasts, outdoor event live broadcasts, event live broadcasts, outdoor events, etc.

How does 4G encoder push streaming?

The first step: equipment installation and connection

The P series 4G encoder has two interfaces: SDI and HDMI. First connect the video signal, and connect the SDI/HDMI signal from the signal source (such as a camera) to the input port of the device through a cable.

Then connect to the network, plug the USB to RJ45 network port cable into the USB port of the device, connect the network port to the switch, or directly connect to the network port of the computer.

Note: First, connect the encoder to the same switch with the computer via USB to RJ45, or directly connect the encoder to the computer network port. Then configure the encoder and computer to the same network segment so that the computer can access the encoder's WEB page. The default management IP of the encoder network port is 192.168.1.168.

Step 2: Device network configuration

The 4G encoder has a built-in 4G module, and it can also be directly inserted into a SIM card to connect to a 4G network. Because it does not support SIM card hot swapping, you need to insert the SIM card before turning on the device.

Step 3: Add streaming service

After the network is set up, find "H.264 main stream" on the encoder WEB management page, add the stream service, and then copy and paste the push stream address into the stream service in the background of the live broadcast platform. Currently, most live broadcast platforms support RTMP streaming protocol.

Note: The principle of RTMP streaming is to push the stream from the encoder to the platform, and the computer/decoder then pulls the RTMP stream from the platform for playback. The encoder cannot directly push the RTMP stream to the computer/decoder for playback.

Step 4: Watch

Scan the QR code through the platform website or mobile phone to watch online. If you need to pull the video stream of the live platform to the local area, the platform must be able to provide the streaming address. Only some specific platforms can support it.
