The absolute encoder determines the code by the mechanical position. It does not need to be memorized, does not need to find a reference point, and does not need to be counted all the time. When it needs to know the position, when to read its position. The absolute encoder has a measuring range, which is suitable for use on some special machine tools.
Usually, we use absolute rotary encoders for motor positioning or speed measurement systems.
Because the position of the absolute rotary encoder is determined by the reading of the output code, the reading of each position within one revolution is unique. Therefore, when the power is disconnected or the code wheel is shifted, the absolute rotary encoder will not lose its actual position.
Absolute value rotary encoders are widely used, so what issues should we pay attention to during installation and use?
Pay attention to the following five points:

The absolute value rotary encoder is a precision instrument. Do not knock or impact, handle it gently, and use it carefully.
Note 2
Ensure that the power supply of the absolute value rotary encoder is within the rated range and is well isolated to prevent the large-scale starting electrical in the power grid from impacting the absolute value encoder.

In the environment of strong electromagnetic interference, it is best to use dedicated wires for signal wires, such as twisted pair shielded cables.

The signal wire of the absolute value rotary encoder should be well grounded: within 2 meters.
Both ends of the shielding net in the cable should be grounded. The metal shell of the absolute value rotary encoder is grounded at a long distance, and the built-in cable shielding net is suspended. The signal extension cable shielding net is grounded at the signal receiving end.
If the signal cable is long or used outdoors, the signal cable should be covered with a metal sleeve, and both ends of the metal pipe should be grounded for use.

Absolute value rotary encoder shaft and mechanical connection should use special flexible coupling.
