Even in harsh industrial environments, magnetic rotary encoders can still be used reliably. Their work is based on the principle of effective magnetic field detection, which has proved to be ideal for applications in challenging environments such as dust, liquid, temperature, vibration, or shock. The excellent new magnetic rotary encoder technology can ensure a longer service life.

High precision, small size

Rotary encoders are suitable for rotation, angular velocity, or position measurement of moving parts in various application fields. Compared with other magnetic encoders, Pepperl+Fuchs' new magnetic encoder series provides unique robustness and accuracy: accuracy is up to 1° to 0.1°, single-turn resolution up to 16 bits, multi-turn resolution 39 bits.

In addition to high reliability and longer service life, the new magnetic encoder technology can make the package smaller than before. The Wiegand multi-turn counting coil and single-turn positioning Hall sensor are integrated on a single printed circuit board (PCB), which reduces the volume of the multi-turn absolute rotary encoder, and the overall package only needs a 36 mm outer diameter housing.
