Problems with the use of real-axis rotary encoders
Problems with the use of real-axis rotary encoders
Rotary encoders include real-shaft rotary encoders and hollow-shaft rotary encoders. Today, I will talk about the use of real-shaft rotary encoders.
1. The problem of deviation between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft
When there is a deviation between the encoder shaft and the drive shaft, a flexible soft connection must be adopted to prevent the drive shaft from moving and jumping, causing damage to the encoder shaft system and the code disc. Therefore, be careful when installing the encoder. Choose the right coupling.
2. The problem of the maximum load allowed by the shaft
When the encoder is driven by machinery or pulleys, please ensure that the load on the shaft does not exceed the maximum allowable load value. Pay attention to ensure that the transmission machinery and the pulley are correctly connected to the shaft of the encoder to avoid no load on the shaft.
3. The problem of service life
The service life is determined by three factors: the shaft load, the maximum speed limit, and the operating temperature. Assuming the operating temperature is 40c, the maximum shaft load is used to calculate the specific service life.
