Quickly understand Pepperl+Fuchs module AS-InterfaceG20
The G20 Pepperl+Fuchs module minimizes the workload required for motor wiring and meets the pre-assembly requirements of the flexible conveyor section. In conveyor applications, it realizes effective control of DC electric rollers.
In warehouse applications, engineers in charge of electric roller conveyor systems face some challenging requirements. The actual problem they want to solve is that they must ensure that the various needs of customers meet the requirements of processing speed, reliability, energy efficiency, and cost. Pepperl+Fuchs has launched the G20 series of AS-i interface modules, which are designed for DC motorized roller (MDR) application requirements, and are designed and developed specifically to meet your customer applications with speed, cost and energy efficiency.
The G20 module minimizes the workload required for motor wiring and provides a new way. Through its tailor-made functions, G20 ensures the reliable operation of the motor and realizes the pre-assembly of flexible conveyor sections. It is specially designed for conveyor manufacturers and their customers to realize rapid motor installation and commissioning and improve overall efficiency.
The installation depth of the G20 module is only 27mm, which is very suitable for installation in an electric roller conveyor system, and the wiring is completely hidden. Mechanical installation is very easy, no additional installation tools are required. The module is encapsulated by a durable plastic shell that is resistant to shock and vibration and has an integrated design, thus eliminating time-consuming and laborious component installation. The convenient M8 connector design for G20 module input (sensor) and output (DC electric roller) effectively reduces connection costs and overall complexity, and improves system installation speed.

The following is the product introduction of G20 Pepperl+Fuchs module!
Better installation method of conveyor section
Once the module is connected to the conveyor system, the flat cable is crimped into the G20 module through insulation piercing technology, and the master station is connected to the slave station to form the conveyor bus network system. This simpler, faster and more effective method of network wiring helps transmission system manufacturers and customers to free themselves from complex and time-consuming wiring procedures, and shortens the wiring process for most traditional motor starter equipment hard wiring. The entire conveyor network system (G20 drive module with AS-i interface and all other control modules) can be easily controlled in sections by ASI bus-pre-assembled, ready to convey, tested, and independently expanded of.
A variety of DC electric roller control options and high safety standard requirements
In terms of functionality and safety, G20 series modules are second to none. The module is equipped with 2 sensor inputs, 2 DC electric roller control output terminals, and 2 DC electric roller power monitoring terminals. The module provides a maximum 5A starting current for each output. Through a variety of configurable speed parameter settings, it accelerates the ramp configuration function, and conveniently changes the characteristics of the rotation direction of the electric roller, which interprets the application flexibility of the G20 module. In addition, the G20 module provides a built-in integrated fuse short-circuit protection for each DC electric roller to prevent the DC electric roller from overcurrent and burn the module.
As a supplement to the G20MDR module, another member of the G20 series, pure digital control, is an ideal solution designed for valve control, in-position switch, brake signal, and drive signal. In short, these modules redefine MDR control and provide conveyor manufacturers with tools to meet the needs of their customers.
