SG61-a new type of cable encoder with a measuring length of 6 meters

SIKO from Buchenbach, Germany, in the field of pull-wire displacement sensors, has launched a new pull-wire encoder SG61 with a measuring length of 6 meters. We have developed this compact, robust and flexible displacement sensor based on 30 years of development and production experience.

SG61-a new type of cable encoder with a measuring length of 6 meters

Small and robust When selecting sensors in the field of internal logistics and mobile machines, measuring length and the compactest possible housing play an important role. The installation depth of the new cable encoder SG61 is only 70mm x 85mm x 105mm, which is a real product highlight, and its robustness is not affected at all! The sturdy aluminum casing and impact-resistant plastic make the product able to withstand harsh conditions. -40...+80°C temperature, extremely high shock and vibration loads, dirt, dust and water, etc. cannot have the slightest influence on this pull-wire encoder.

For outdoor applications at low temperatures, models with built-in drain holes can be selected-this can prevent water from freezing under sub-zero temperature conditions, thereby increasing the life of the product. The variety of interfaces and the bending wire technology allow the product to be installed flexibly. The flexible 58 mm flange system of the SG61 allows customers to decide which interface to use. Whether it is an incremental interface such as HTL or TTL, or an interface such as analog, SSI, CANopen, SEA J1939, CANopen Safety, fieldbus or Ethernet, this pull-wire encoder can use almost any interface.

This pull-wire displacement sensor is not only particularly flexible in terms of interface, but also the pull-out method using curved metal wire technology is also satisfactory.

This technology can ensure that the wear of the cable can be reduced even when the cable is pulled out diagonally. Conical cable mouth and different cable types can reliably remove dirt on the cable. Therefore, the encoder can compensate for the mechanical tolerances of the machine or vehicle by itself, even under difficult environmental conditions, thereby protecting the functionality and service life of the measurement system.

Suitable for position measurement SG61 and redundant SIKO safety rotary encoder WV58MR combined use, can provide higher security, and can be used in the overall system performance level d (PLd) applications. This is entirely due to the unique mechanical design and software specially developed for this purpose. In this way, electronic devices and mechanical structures can be monitored at the same time, so that dangerous situations can be identified early-especially suitable for mobile machines in various application fields.
