Siemens SINAMICS V20 inverter serialization (1)-selection
SINAMICS V20 series inverters are basic inverters for small-scale automated production lines launched by Siemens. They can be used with Siemens S7 series PLCs (S7-200 Smart, S7-1200/1500) used together. Founderchip (founderchip) will serialize SINAMICS V20 is introduced. In today’s article, let’s first introduce SINAMICS Selection of V20 inverter

Divided from the appearance size, SINAMICS V20 includes: FSA, FSB, FSC, FSD, FSE five products (FS is the abbreviation of "Frame Size", that is, "external size"), among them, FSA also includes FSA-A, FSA -B and FSA-C three sub-series, inverters of different sizes have different power sizes. The following table is the specific size data, which can be used as a reference when designing the electrical cabinet:

Divided from the type of supply voltage, SINAMICSV20 includes two voltage types: single-phase 230V AC and three-phase 400VAC.
The FSA-A and FSAB models of single-phase 230V AC inverters do not have a cooling fan; the FSA-C, FSB and FSC inverters have a cooling fan; the rated power and current of inverters of different sizes are shown in the following table:

The rated power and current of different sizes of three-phase 400V AC inverters are shown in the following table:

The nameplate of the SINAICS V20 frequency converter contains the order number and serial number of the product. The supply voltage, power and built-in filter type of the inverter can be seen from the order number.
Take the following nameplate as an example:
-selection/Siemens SINAMICS V20 inverter serialization (1)-selection5.jpg)
The order number is: 6SL3210-5BE25-5CV0.
Sort the letters in the order number from left to right, mark the number of digits on it, and get the following picture:

Let's take a look at the information it contains:
No. 1~9: "6SL3210-5B" is the family name of SINAMICS V20;
10th bit: Indicates the type of power supply voltage of the inverter. E-means three-phase 400V power supply; B means single-phase 230V power supply;
The 11th bit: represents the power of 10, used to calculate the power;
12th place: the tens digit of power;
13th digit: the single digit of power;
The power of the inverter is calculated according to the following formula: Assuming:
The 11th bit = n;
12th place = x;
13th place=y;
then:
Inverter power = (x*10 +y)/1000 * 10^n, unit: KW;
Note: 10^n means 10 to the nth power;
Take the nameplate above as an example:
x=5,y=5,n=2;
The power of the inverter = (5*10+5)/1000*10^2=55/1000*100=5.5 KW
Bit 14: Indicates the type of built-in filter.
A: means A type filter; C: means C3 type filter; U: means no filter;
The 15th to 16th digits: the version number, currently all "V0";
Well, the selection of the SINAMICS V20 inverter will be introduced here first, and the following articles will introduce the components, wiring, and debugging of the V20.
