What are the elements of photoelectric sensor selection

1.  Selection

There are three main considerations for the selection: how wide the groove width should be; resolution (width of light slit); fixing method

1. The width of the groove, the detection object needs to pass through the groove of the groove-type optocoupler to block the infrared light, so the groove width of the photoelectric sensor should be wider than the detection object, and there must be a margin for easy installation.

2. The resolution of the slot-type optocoupler. If the test object is a toothed disk, the width of the toothed disk is d, and the width of the toothed disk groove is 3, then the optical slot width of the grooved optocoupler is required to be less than d, and Less than f, so as to ensure that the infrared light can be effectively blocked and conducted. Under the above conditions, choose a slot-type optocoupler with a wide optical gap.

3. Groove-type optocouplers are available with fixing holes and without fixing holes, which can be selected according to actual conditions.

4. Installation location. When the sensor is installed, the outer diameter of the detection gear plate should be 1-2mm larger than the optical axis of the grooved optical coupler. In this way, the light can be effectively blocked.

2. Peripheral circuit parameter selection

1. When selecting the peripheral circuit of the slot-type optocoupler, first determine the load resistance of the slot-type optocoupler receiving tube, and then select the current of the infrared emitting tube according to the conversion efficiency of the slot-type optocoupler.

2. The faster the moving speed of the measured object (such as 1-2kHz), in principle, the load resistance of the infrared receiver tube should be smaller.
