Precautions for Magnetoelectric Encoder Installation

1. Do not apply direct impact to the shaft during installation. The connection between the encoder shaft and the machine should use a flexible adapter. When installing the adapter on the shaft, do not hard press it in. Even if the adapter is used, due to the defective device, it is possible to add a load larger than the allowable load to the shaft, or to form the appearance of a core shift, so special attention should be paid.

Bearing life is related to operating conditions and is particularly affected by bearing load. If the bearing load is smaller than the regular load, the bearing life can be greatly extended.

2. Oscillation. Oscillation added to the rotary encoder will often become the cause of false pulses. Therefore, attention should be paid to the installation location and installation location. The more the number of pulses per retransmission, the narrower the slot interval of the rotating slotted disk, and the more susceptible it is to vibration. When rotating or stopping at low speed, the oscillation added to the shaft or the body causes the rotating grooved disk to vibrate, which may cause false pulses.

Precautions for wiring and connection of magnetoelectric encoder

Miswiring of the magnetic encoder may damage the internal circuit. Therefore, pay attention to the following items when wiring:

1. Wiring should be done when the power supply is OFF. When the power supply is turned on, if the output line touches the power supply, the output circuit may sometimes be damaged.

2. If the wiring is wrong, the internal circuit will sometimes be damaged, so pay attention to the polarity of the power supply when wiring.

3. If it is wired in parallel with high-voltage lines and power lines, it may be induced to malfunction and cause damage, so separate wiring must be separated.

4. When extending the wire, it should be less than 10m. Moreover, because of the spreading capacity of the wires, the rise and fall times of the waveform will be longer. When in doubt, use a Schmitt loop to shape the waveform.

5. In order to prevent induced noise, etc., try to use the shortest wiring interval. Special attention is required when inputting to integrated circuits.

6. When the wire is extended, due to the influence of the conductor resistance and the capacitance between the wires, the rise and fall time of the waveform are lengthened, and the interference between the signals (crosstalk) is simple, so use wires with low resistance and low capacitance between the wires (twisted pair) , Shielded wire).
