How to use Pilz's safety relay PNOZ X2.7PX2.8P

In the previous article, we talked about Pilz's safety relay (PNOZ X3). Today we will talk about Pilz's other two safety relay products: PNOZ X2.7P and PNOZ X2.8P.

Compared with PNOZ X3, the two safety relays PNOZ X2.7P and PNOZ X2.8P mainly

For emergency stop buttons and safety doors, the structure is relatively simple. As can be seen from the name, PNOZ

X2.7P and X2.8P are closely related, and both have the same internal circuit schematic diagram. The difference is: PNOZ X2.8P supports Auto reset, while PNOZ X2.7 can only be reset manually (Manual Reset). Below we use the symbol "PNOZX2.7P/X2.8P" to uniformly introduce the two.

PNOZ X2.7P/X2.8P can use DC 24V (DC 24V) or AC 24V (AC

24V) power supply, there are 6 safety terminals: S11, S12, S21, S52, S22 and S34. Can form two safe channels and one reset channel. Among them, S52 and S22 constitute a safe channel 1 (CH1), S12 and S21 constitute a safe channel 2 (CH2); S11 is connected to the positive pole of the power supply, S21 is connected to the negative pole of the power supply, and S34 is used for reset; except for the safety circuit, PNOZ X2.7P/X2. 8P also has three auxiliary normally open (NO) channels and one normally closed (NC) channel. Normally open channels include 13-14, 23-24 and 33-34, and normally closed channels are 41-42; auxiliary channels cannot be connected to safety circuits.

The following picture is the internal circuit diagram of PNOZ X2.7P/X2.8P:

Encoder|Transmitter|Soft starter|Power supply|VFD|Light curtain|Servo products|Human-machine interface|Solenoid valve|Cylinder|Actuator|Flow meter|Transformer|Thyristor|Sensor|Deceleration drive gearbox reducer|Linear guide|Circuit breaker|Refrigeration compressorAll industrial products of okplazas are purchased from the original factory or formal channels of agents to ensure the original authenticity, which perfectly solves the problem of industrial product sample procurement and small-batch procurement for the majority of engineers and purchasing personnel.

PNOZ X2.7P/X2.8P provides three LED indicators to indicate power (PWR),

The status of channel 1 (CH1) and channel 2 (CH2).

When the power is turned on and the two safety channels are both closed, all three LED lights will light up. At this time, the auxiliary normally open contact (channel) is closed, and the normally closed contact (channel) is disconnected; the status indication of the safety relay is as follows:

Encoder|Transmitter|Soft starter|Power supply|VFD|Light curtain|Servo products|Human-machine interface|Solenoid valve|Cylinder|Actuator|Flow meter|Transformer|Thyristor|Sensor|Deceleration drive gearbox reducer|Linear guide|Circuit breaker|Refrigeration compressorAll industrial products of okplazas are purchased from the original factory or formal channels of agents to ensure the original authenticity, which perfectly solves the problem of industrial product sample procurement and small-batch procurement for the majority of engineers and purchasing personnel.

When the safety channel is disconnected (for example: pressing the emergency stop button), the channel (CH1 and CH2) indicator lights are off, the auxiliary normally open contact (channel) is disconnected, and the normally closed contact (channel) is closed; the state of the safety relay The instructions are as follows:

Encoder|Transmitter|Soft starter|Power supply|VFD|Light curtain|Servo products|Human-machine interface|Solenoid valve|Cylinder|Actuator|Flow meter|Transformer|Thyristor|Sensor|Deceleration drive gearbox reducer|Linear guide|Circuit breaker|Refrigeration compressorAll industrial products of okplazas are purchased from the original factory or formal channels of agents to ensure the original authenticity, which perfectly solves the problem of industrial product sample procurement and small-batch procurement for the majority of engineers and purchasing personnel.

An example of PNOZ X2.7P/X2.8P dual-channel safety circuit connection (emergency stop button) is as follows:

Encoder|Transmitter|Soft starter|Power supply|VFD|Light curtain|Servo products|Human-machine interface|Solenoid valve|Cylinder|Actuator|Flow meter|Transformer|Thyristor|Sensor|Deceleration drive gearbox reducer|Linear guide|Circuit breaker|Refrigeration compressorAll industrial products of okplazas are purchased from the original factory or formal channels of agents to ensure the original authenticity, which perfectly solves the problem of industrial product sample procurement and small-batch procurement for the majority of engineers and purchasing personnel.

When the emergency stop button is photographed, the safety path is disconnected, and the safety relay is triggered; when the emergency stop button is restored and the periphery of the safety path is closed again, whether the safety relay can resume working state depends on the reset setting.

For PNOZ X2.8P, S12 and S34 can be connected directly with wires. At this time, if the peripheral safety circuit is restored from the open state to the closed state, the safety relay will automatically reset

(Auto Reset), the indicators of the two safety channels will be lit.

For PNOZ X2.7P, a normally open contact (or button) must be connected between S12 and S34, so that S12-S34 is turned on first and then disconnected to reset the safety relay. This kind of reset is called a manual reset (Manual Reset).

After the safety relay is triggered, it must be reset to resume work (the indicators of the two safety channels are all lit). PNOZ X 2.8P supports automatic reset and manual reset, while PNOZ X2.7P only supports manual reset.

Okay, let’s talk about safety relays PNOZ X2.7P and PNOZ X2.8P.
