Introduction of absolute rotary encoder

What is an absolute rotary encoder:

Absolute rotary encoders are sensors that directly output digital quantities and are often used in motor positioning or speed measurement systems. The position of the absolute encoder is determined by the reading of the output code, and the reading of each position within one revolution is unique. Therefore, when the power is disconnected or the code wheel is shifted, the absolute encoder will not lose the actual position.

The absolute value of all positions in the range of the absolute value encoder corresponds to the origin position in advance, which does not depend on the internal and external count accumulation but independent and unique absolute codes.

For example: from externally received equipment (such as servo controllers, PLCs), the incremental value refers to a relative change in position information, the calculation of the increase and decrease of the signal from point A to point B, Also called "relative value", it requires uninterrupted counting of subsequent equipment, because each data is not independent, but depends on the previous reading.

It is impossible to judge the error caused by the power outage and interference of the previous data, resulting in the accumulation of errors; and the "absolute working mode" refers to the determination of an origin after the device is initialized, and all subsequent position information is the absolute value of this "origin" Position, it does not require continuous counting of subsequent equipment, but directly reads the current position value. For errors that may be caused by power outages and interference, each reading is independent and not affected by the previous, so it will not cause error accumulation This is called the "absolute" working mode of the receiving device.
