Photoelectric switch classification

The photoelectric switch is a member of a large family of sensors, which converts the change in the intensity of light between the transmitting end and the receiving end into a change in current to achieve the purpose of detection. Since the output circuit and input circuit of the photoelectric switch are electrically isolated (ie, electrical insulation), it can be used in many occasions.

Photoelectric switch classification:

①Diffuse reflection photoelectric switch: It is a sensor that integrates transmitter and receiver. When an object to be detected passes by, the object reflects a sufficient amount of light emitted by the photoelectric switch transmitter to the receiver, so the photoelectric switch The switch signal is generated. When the surface of the detected object is bright or its reflectivity is extremely high, the diffuse reflection type photoelectric switch is the preferred detection mode.

②Reflection type photoelectric switch: It also integrates the transmitter and the receiver. The light emitted by the photoelectric switch transmitter is reflected back to the receiver through the reflector. When the detected object passes by and completely blocks the light, the photoelectric switch is generated. Check the switch signal.

③ Through-beam photoelectric switch: It includes a transmitter and a receiver that are separated from each other in structure and the optical axis is placed oppositely. The light emitted by the transmitter directly enters the receiver. When the detected object passes between the transmitter and the receiver and When the light is blocked, the photoelectric switch generates a switching signal. When the detection object is opaque, the through-beam photoelectric switch is the most reliable detection device.

④Slot photoelectric switch: It usually adopts a standard U-shaped structure, and its transmitter and receiver are located on both sides of the U-shaped groove and form an optical axis. When the detected object passes through the U-shaped groove and blocks the optical axis , The photoelectric switch produces the switch quantity signal. The slot type photoelectric switch is more suitable for detecting high-speed moving objects, and it can distinguish transparent and semi-transparent objects, and it is safe and reliable to use.

⑤ Optical fiber photoelectric switch: It uses plastic or glass optical fiber sensor to guide the light, which can detect the object to be detected at a long distance. Generally, fiber optic sensors are divided into through-beam type and diffuse reflection type.
