Siemens dual power supply 3KC series installation method
◆ Installation location (as shown in the figure below).

◆ Install 3KC4 and 3KC8 dual power supply.
Note: The following is the installation instructions of 3KC4 Siemens dual power supply. Unlike the 3KC4, the 3KC8 Siemens dual power supply has an additional electronic module, but is installed in the same way.
● Install dual power switches with current ratings of 250A to 630A (as shown below).

The dimensions may vary according to the current rating and the number of poles, as shown in the table below.

Install dual power switches with current ratings 250A to 630A as follows:
1. Use four bolts to install the Siemens dual power supply in the desired position, as shown in the figure above (see also the previous installation position).
2. Fix the handle bracket on the device, and then insert the handle into the bracket. The handle and its bracket are included in the standard range. Bolts are not included in the standard range for 3KC series Siemens dual power supplies.
● Install dual power switches with current ratings from 800A to 3200A (as shown below).

The dimensions may vary according to the current rating and the number of poles, as shown in the table below.

The dual power installation steps for this specification are the same as before 250A to 630A, so see above.
◆ The notched size of cabinet door with protective frame.
The following figures show the cover frame dimensions of 3KC4 and 3KC8 double power door incisions.
Note: The 3KC8 dual power switch is equipped with an additional electronic module for monitoring the source.

◆ Power grid type.
Dual 3KC4 and 3KC8 power supplies can be connected to the following grid types:
● Three-phase four-wire power network including three-phase and neutral lines (3PH+N);
● Three-phase three-wire grid (3PH) including three-phase no neutral line;
● Single-phase power grid (1PH+N) with single and neutral lines;
Note: Equipment may be damaged.
The Siemens dual power 3KC series is specially designed with rated pulse withstand voltage Uimp of 12kV and 4kV for main circuit and electronic and/or motor units. Dual-power converter (DPS) accessories and auto-transformer accessories are specially designed with rated shock withstand voltage Uimp of 4kV and 2.5kV, respectively.
If the dual power supply is used in applications where the overvoltage may be greater than 4kV or 2.5kV, additional appropriate measures must be taken to limit these overvoltages not to exceed 4kV or 2.5kV, respectively.
◆ Three-phase four-wire power grid (3PH +N) with neutral lines.
Siemens 3KC4 and 3KC8 dual power supplies can be used in power grids containing three-phase and neutral lines.

1. The power suite accessories 3KC9830- and 3KC9831- can be used to supply dual power.
2. The 3KC8 dual power supply is supplied through the dual input of the electronic module, so there is no need for dual power converter (DPS) accessories.
◆ Three-phase three-wire grid without neutral lines (3PH).
Siemens 3KC4 and 3KC8 dual power supplies can be used in power grids containing three phases, which can be used in either load-balanced or unbalanced power grids.
Note: The virtual generated fourth pole is only used for dual power switch power supply, not for the main load.

3. There are no neutral lines under this layout. For this reason, the following optional accessories can/must be used to establish this kind of power grid:
● 2X autotransformer 3KC9824-1;
●1x dual power converter 3KC9625-1;
4. F1 fuse must be installed as close to the joint as possible;
5. F2 fuse must be installed as close as possible to the output end of the autotransformer.

6. The 3KC8 dual power supply is supplied through the dual input of the electronic module, so there is no need for dual power converter (DPS) accessories.

3. There are no neutral lines under this layout. For this reason, the following optional accessories can/must be used to establish this kind of power grid:
● 2X autotransformer 3KC9824-1;
● For 3-pole models, an auxiliary conductor terminal suite is required to connect the electronic module and must be installed before connecting to the source;
4. The 3KC8 Siemens dual power supply is supplied through the dual input power supply of the electronic module, so there is no need for dual power converter (DPS) accessories.
◆ Single-phase power network with neutral lines (1PH+N).
3KC4 and 3KC8 dual power supply can be used in the single-phase power grid including single-phase and neutral lines. Because the transfer switch cannot adopt the bipolar design, 3KC4 and 3KC8 dual power switch using the three-pole design is also the most ideal choice.

Note:

2. The 3KC8 Siemens dual power supply is supplied through the dual input power supply of the electronic module, so there is no need for dual power converter (DPS) accessories. Pins 101/102 and 201/202 must be connected to the main circuit before connecting. This can be done easily using power packs 3KC9833- and 3KC9834-.
3. F1 fuse must be installed as close to the joint as possible.
